Influence of Peers: Harnessing the potential and defying the pressure

Children can feel a lot of pressure from their peers to act or think in a certain way. This can lead children to engage in activities they might not otherwise choose, such as experimenting with drugs, engaging in risky behavior, or engaging in bullying. The fear of being excluded or ridiculed by their peers can push children to make unhealthy choices. On July 21st' 2023, during our monthly alumni meet, we discussed the good and negative effects of our children's peers on their development and what we can do as their primary care providers to foster stronger relationships.
